For Our Visitors

Frequently Asked Questions

As a part of the worldwide United Methodist Church family, we follow a set of Bible-based, God inspired beliefs set forth by our denomination. To learn more about our beliefs, CLICK HERE.

As you enter from the east, there are several parking spots labeled for visitors on your right. Our parking lot has three levels. The level at the top of the hill is the most convenient for Sunday worship, as you can go directly to our main entrance. Toward the bottom of the hill, there is another covered entrance for the bottom level, which includes our gym / fellowship hall. We have an elevator so that all areas of our facility are handicapped accessible.
When you worship with us at Epworth UMC, you will experience a friendly and relaxed form of historic Christian worship in a beautiful sanctuary. From our acolytes to our organ to our chancel choir to our hymns, we celebrate our connection to the past. On the first Sunday of each month, we connect with our past in celebrating Holy Communion.
Dress is typically semi-formal, but wear what makes you most comfortable and know that you are welcome no matter what.
Our Sunday School gathers around 9 am each Sunday. We have two very active adult classes, as well as a casual gathering in the church foyer outside the sanctuary. We also have classes for youth and children.

We love the sound of childen in worship! A nursery is available at all times during our worship experience. However, we encourage all families to bring their children for the first half of the service so that they can learn the rhythms of worship. We have a station at the entrance to the sanctuary with color pictures and fidget toys.

After the offering, we have a children's moment when we ask all children and youth to come to the front for a lesson on their level. Many of our older adults cite that as their favorite part of the service. After children's moment, children can either go back to sit with their parents or can go to Children's Church. While the adults hear the coral anthem and the sermon, the kids will be having activities and lessons to help them relate to the scripture of the day.

Our facility is available for weddings, funerals, and other activities, based on our building use policy.
