Major Holy Week Changes – Letter from Pastor Todd

Church Family,

I have not been internally at peace with the decision to move forward with the Palm Sunday Parade, Drive Thru Stations of the Cross and Drive-In Easter.  While I do believe the plans we had put in place would keep us and the community safe and that they comply with the Governor’s guidelines, I do not wish for us to in any way contribute to a culture of “pushing the envelope” against stay at home guidelines.

We will continue to offer Sunday streaming worship services, but will not be moving forward with the Palm Sunday Parade, Stations of the Cross and Drive-In Easter worship.  I will put together some kind of online offering for Good Friday and Easter Sunrise.

I know this may be a disappointment to some.  I encourage us all to remember that the events of Easter do not depend on anything we do.  Death will not have the final word.  We can choose to experience the fullness of this resurrection wherever we might be – even at home on a couch.

Please forgive your pastor for waffling around on this.  I’m struggling like everyone else on the best way to deal with all of this.

I hope you will join me tomorrow in worship online at 10:15 am.

Blessings & Peace,

Todd Noren-Hentz
