Growing in Christ while forming closer relationships with each other is what we strive for in our youth group!


All youth from 6th through 12th grade are welcome in a fun and laid back atmosphere. We have two rooms we meet in on the second floor, the Junior High room and Senior High room.

 

Throughout the year, our youth learn about the love of God while studying His word in ways that they can relate to thier daily lives.  With the pressure and challenges that our young people face today, we make an effort to make everyone feel they belong in the body of Christ, no matter where they are in life!

 

When the youth are not gathered together in bible study, we are getting together for fun & fellowship!

  • This Wednesday, October 13th, we'll be meeting here at the church (2102 Epworth Drive NE) at 6:15pm (leaving at 6:30pm) to go to Madison County High School Football Field for a community worship service. You are welcome to meet up with us there, particularly if you live close by.  The service starts at 7 p.m.  We'll be back at the church by 8:30pm.  

 

  • Next Wednesday, October 20th, the youth will start their small group studies here at the church.

 

  • This Friday night, October 15th, we'll be at the Madison County High School football game to cheer on our own Logan and the Madison County High School football team.  The game starts at 7 p.m.

 

  • This Sunday, October 17th, we'll have supper provided by Leslie Shepard and our youth wrangler/volunteer is Randall Shepard.  Marshall McKellar will be back to lead worship for the youth.  So we'll meet as usual from 5-7 p.m. here at the church.

 

  • This Sunday, October 17th, we're also officially starting the canned food drive for the youth rally (which has been moved to Sunday, November 14th at Ford's Chapel UMC).  Call Erin at the church office for more information.

 

  • The deadline to sign up for our annual winter retreat, Behold, at Camp Sumatanga, is Sunday, October 31st. The cost of the retreat is $130 and money is due in Wednesday, November 17th.  For scholarship information, please see Pastor Jim.

 

  • For more complete information on our annual Behold youth retreat coming in mid-January, please call the church office (256-536-1559 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. - Ask for Erin).
